RITES & ROBES: EmPowered Womyn

MIX NYC returns to the legendary BAAD Ass Women Festival for the third year running to present RITES & ROBES: EmPowered Womyn, a program of queer short films and videos, featuring fascinating womyn expressing their power through what they choose (or choose not) to wear.  From a spirited Muslim teen who likes to rock out in her selendang, to an androgynous pair who turn knotting each other's neckties into a sensual act of intimacy, RITES & ROBES celebrates and contemplates our age of presidents in pumps with a bold lineup of work by female, trans and male artists, including Felix Andara, Dan Borden, Gracie Bucciarelli, Campbell, Ali Cotterill and Chris Chong Chan Fui.
